My February Faves

It has been a looooong time since I done a favourites post so why not share all the things I have been loving this February!

Until I hit the rip old age of 25 I had barely any skin problems, a bit of dryness in winter and some redness here and there but NOW.. my skin is disgusting. Breaking out constantly and so dry. In turn I've been using a few new things to try and remedy this. The moisturiser I have been loving is the,
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturiser.
This has literally been SAVING my skin and the difference after one or two uses is incredible. It is one of those ones were a little really does go a long way. Plus right now it is half price in Boots. Yay!

Too-Faced Better than Sex & Diamonds Mascara. This really is just the better than sex mascara (which I have loved for years) in fancy packaging but how can you not love this?

Huda Beauty Mauve Obessions Palette.

This isn't really exclusive to Febraury as it is for sure the palette I use the most but I have used it every day of Feb!

RuPaul's Drag Race... I know I know, ten years late to the game!

I started watching season 1 on netflix and I am literally obsessed. I can't believe I've wasted all this time! Ongina is my queen and Rebecca Glasscock is the devil.

The Simple Life

I watched this wayyyy back in the day but when it was out and when Hayu started streaming it, I was hooked all over again. It's pop culture at its finest!
Sannnnaaa saaa sannnnaa saaaa!

So that is what I have been loving this month!

Favourite Oscar Looks!

Hey guys! As we will all be aware - the Oscar's was last night. Yay for Rami!
Here are a few of my favourite looks from the night.

Constance Wu in Versace

I love yellow dress but they can we extremely hit or miss. I think this is stunning.

Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton

Now this isn't something I would normally go for but I think with Emma's skin tone and hair colour, it just works. Big shoulders and all!

Amy Poehler in Thom Browne

What's the 411? What has everybody been upto?? Amy Poehler will always be Regina's mum to me! I love when a strong woman can wear a bomb ass suit. I wish I could but I'm just not cool enough. Wah!

KiKi Layne in Atelier Versace

Pink seemed to be the colour of choice this year! But unlike looking like a bath loofah like most of the others (sorry!) Kiki's dress to me ooozes class and is so chic!

Regina King in Oscar de la Renta

My queen Regina is an Oscar winner! In one of my favourite designers. It is classic, it is dramatic, it is PERFECT

Yalitza Aparicio in Rodarte

Again this isn't a dress I normally would pick but Yalitza looks stunning in it. The colour is my favourite ever so it isn't too shocking that I love it. Beading is beautiful too.

So that is my favourite looks from this years Oscars!
What did you think of the gowns and tuxes?

My Oscar Winners!

The Oscars are just a few short days away & it is probably the award show I get the most invested in. Who doesn't want an Oscar?
So I thought I'd do a little post about who I'd love to win this year!

Best Picture
Bohemian Rhapsody. Remove Bryan Singer and it is perfect!

Best Actor
Rami Malek - he completely captured Freddie Mercury. A little repetition here...

Best Director
Spike Lee - BlacKkKansman. Iconic

Best Actress
Glenn Close - The Wife. Soz GaGa but Glenn is the OG Queen.

Best Supporting Actor
Sam Elliot - A Star Is Born. My only one for this flick!

Best Supporting Actress
Regina King - If Beale Street Could Talk. Regina King would get my vote for even Daddy Day Care she is that much of a boss.

Best Animated Feature Film
It has to be the Incredibles 2. Even just for Edna Mode.

I'm not going to do the others like sound editing and such as obviously I can't judge that!
If I had it my way, I would have Rami Malek win them all - I am obsessed!

Who do you guys think are going to win?

2019 Goals!

Wow.. First post of 2019 & we are nearly finished two months of it! Slacker...
To get back into the swing of things I thought I'd ease myself in with some goals for 2019.

1. Make a definite decision on my career.
I'm currently applying to go back to uni but if that doesn't work out, I want to change my job and start an actual career that I enjoy. I'm a little spoiled right now in my job as I get two weeks at Christmas off, every weekend off and other bank holidays. But I feel strongly about the quote 'have a job you love and you will never work a day in your life' So having such strong perks of my current job, I've became stuck doing something I don't love and that is definitely something I want to travel.

2. Remove toxic people
This is a big one. Whether it be friends or family, if you have a toxic relationship, it is completely ok to end it. This is something I am going through just now and trust me it is tough. But I know it will be worth it.

3. Make time for people who make time for me
This is another tough one but important. I feel like if you have been a good friend to someone and you have had good times then effort should be made to keep in contact by both. This is something that hurt a lot when I moved from my home town to my current home when I realised that I was the one always going to them - three years in my flat and some of my close friends have still never been to it. My friend Gi says 'never text me saying miss you, text me making plans' and its so effective so from now on I'm gonna do this with everyone! Hold on to the people who were there for you when no one else was...

4. Move House
I can't quite believe it but Sam & I are finally done with our first home, we are wanting to start a family in the next couple of years so we want to be settled in an actual house and not a flat that is two flights of stairs up and not very baby friendly. So this is something we want to do soon. We are looking at new build's though so it might not be available this year!

So they are my four main goals for  2019! They all sound so mature don't they!
Another little one but just as important is working on this blog more, with better content and routine. Getting back into it!
What are your goals for 2019?
