Get Your Shit Together

Hi guys!

So, January is dragging in for me - I feel like it's been 2018 for about 7 weeks now.
At the tail end of last year I'd made some "End of Year Resolutions" and stuck to absolutely none of them (usual) but promised myself that 2018 would be better, I'd get my shit together and be a proper adult.

We are now heading into the fourth week of January and I'm still tanning Chinese's like they are going out of fashion. So it's safe to say I still do not have my shit together.

My main goal this year is to be happy with every aspect of my life, so a whole lifestyle overhaul is welcomed greatly. 


Tonight as I'm typing, I have just applied & got a savings account. I don't earn a lot (in comparison to my fam/bf/friends) so have always struggled with managing my finances trying to keep up with them and still taking part in fun things, but it's defo taking toll on me now and my parents as I was constantly turning to them to help me out! 

Step 1 in my plan is sorting out my money.

 Well not gonna lie, I have Ryan to thank for that one and helping me set up the savings account.
So, I will update on that aspect once it's all up and running.


I've heard so many things about Sarah Knight's books... Get Your Sh*t Together and The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving A F**k about how they make you realise the things you do and don't have to do in your life to make you happy. I took the first one on holiday with me in summer, but only managed the first few pages (the beach and Mike's Hard Lemonade were just too distracting!!) and I've just downloaded The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k onto my phone yesterday... I'm one chapter down on there! But plan on getting through this by the end of the week!

In the first chapter of it, Sarah talks about a book from a woman called Marie Kondo and how the book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up is actually magic. Marie says that "your life truly begins after you have put your house in order." 

In comes the KonMari Method - keeping only things that spark "joy" - in the book Marie has ways to fold and store clothes that make it possible to see everything you have as soon as you open your drawer, wardrobe etc. 
My mums also interested in this so at least I know there's a chance I'll have a helping hand in "The Purge" right, mum??


Ok, so I kinda got this aspect of my life off to a good start by losing 11lbs over Christmas and New Year. But I now feel like I'm justifying my weight loss by eating absolute junk. I'm currently eating a square of Galaxy as I type this hahaha.  I really want to find a circuit class to do, as joining a gym isn't the most appealing way and I know myself and won't use the membership. 

My bf is currently doing so good at meal prepping and joining new classes and working out which is amazing, I'm just proper struggling to find the motivation. I done Clubbercise and Boogie Bounce last year which I enjoyed but didn't really see a change in my body. Does anyone recommend any good/fun workouts that you saw results from?


Anyone who knows me, knows how much of a fussy eater I am. To the point where it drives my bf crazy when we are deciding where/what to eat.

I've always been super self conscious of how bad my eating is, and hated eating at friends houses etc because I didn't want to be a hassle to their parents.

I'm now 24 and really gotta get my act together, try new things and make healthier food choices!
A Terry's Chocolate Orange is not one of my five a day, apparently! Who knew?!
But seriously, I don't think I've had more than 1 of my 5 a day in my life since I was like 2 and ate what my mum fed me!

This is where my plan is at so far, getting all these things in order to feel better in myself.
I have a great support in the people around me so I know if I throw myself into this, I'll always have someone to turn to and get help if I'm struggling or losing motivation!

I'll keep you guys updated on how I'm getting on, I really want to do a post on my KonMari experience when I do it!
