Anywhere is home, with friends like ours.

Hey guys!
Long time, no speak. Work has been crazy busy lately and I haven't had time to blog lately!
So my favourite band is The Maine from Arizona. I've loved them for years and were one of the first artists I ever bought on iTunes when I got my first iPod. An EP called Stay Up, Get Down and since then they have just got better and better.

American Candy, is their latest masterpiece.
A follow up from a much darker Forever Halloween, another of their amazing albums!!

A lil story about this album... about 8 weeks ago whilst enjoying my day off from work, and my house phone rang, a rare occurrence! So I ran downstairs and pick up just as the voicemail lady starts kicking into action. I pick up the phone and who is on the other end... None other than Pat Kirch of The Maine. I was shaking the whole time I was on the phone, and he told me he couldn't stay long to chat as the phone calls from America to the UK are very expensive. It was the best couple of minutes ever! He was so so lovely and couldn't have been more appreciative about me preordering the album! I mean how nice of was it of them to even think about calling to thank fans?! Just another reason why they are my favourite band.

Every single song on this album is amazing, and a lot more happier and upbeat than the last album apart from the odd couple, one of my favourites from the album is called 24 Floors.

The first song I heard from the album was called English Girls and it was the perfect track to welcome back the band after their "black out" you can check out the lyric video for that here!

The album opens up with a song called Miles Away, you can check out the lyric video for that here also!

Every time the guys release new music, they continue to silence critics by releasing something even more amazing than the last. Alternative Press finished off their review of American Candy with the statement: "There is not one bad song on American Candy" and I know I'm biased because they are my favourite band in the whole world (I even have a tattoo of their lyrics that John wrote out for me!) but it's so true. Even my best friend has started listening to them and telling me that she likes them, and she's a huge music lover so it's great to hear that!

Sorry for this being such a short post, but you really should check out this album!

you can get it on iTunes here!

Until next time,
- L x
