90's Tag!

Hey guys! So yet another old tag from me! But I really do love them, so lets get right into it - the 90s tag!

1. Favourite Disney Film?
Toy Story! I know that technically it is Disney Pixar but it still counts right? I think so. If you have been reading this blog for a while you may have came across posts declaring my love for Pixar. I don't really remember watching classic Disney films like Cinderella etc, I know that I did but I only really remember loving Pixar films. & the 1995 classic Toy Story is the ultimate. Pixar's first ever film - fun fact!

2. Favourite Music Artist?

In the 90's it was probably bands like The Spice Girls and Stepps - the must have for cheesy school discos! Then late 90's I was obsessed with Christina Aguilera, who I still love. Everyone was a huge Britney fan and even though I did love her too, I was team Xtina all the way!

3. Favourite Candy/Sweeties?

Back in the 90's for me it was all about pure acidity sweets! Stuff that are probably banned now because they burned your tongue and had so many additives in them you would be bouncing off the walls for days! Things like Brain Lickers!

4. Favourite Game (Board Game, School Game etc)

I don't really remember much board games from the 90's apart from the classics like Cluedo. I do remember this game that I used to play with my cousins called Atmosfear which was terrifying, but I don't think that was the 90's. Let me know if you have heard of Atmosfear because I loved it! In School we used to play the usual games like hide and seek and tig.

5. Favourite McDonalds Happy Meal Toy?

Beanie Babies! Does anyone else remember this?! I am sure there was like 6 colours that you could collect. They were amazing. I also remember that they used to do boxes for girls and boxes for boys. So the girl ones would have something like My Little Pony and the boy ones would have Power Rangers. The server used to ask through the speaker thing if you needed a boy or girl happy meal. Happy Meal toys were so much better back in the day! Oh the 90's.

6. Favourite Book?

I was obsessed with Jacqueline Wilson when I was younger. And I mean obsessed. I remember at the start of her books would be a list of all her another ones and in every book I would tick off all the ones I had. I literally still have them all and read them now and again! Even at 21 the stories are still amazing. She has a away of writing children's books in a way that no one else can, she can really speak to them about real issues. Jacqueline Wilson is the reason I am such a book worm today! My first ever one was The Lottie Project and was my faveeeeee.

7. Favourite Clothing Store?

I think every girl from the 90's has to say Tammy girl! But the less said about that the better...

8. Favourite NickJnr Show?
I don't really remember Nick Jnr.. but I remember it came about when my sister was younger and she would always watch things like 'Blues Clues' on it. I only had channels 1,2,3,4 and then 5! So my childhood shows were CITV, CBBC and the classic SMTV:Live. CHALLENGE ANT CHALLENGE ANT CHALLENGE ANTTT!

9. What would you watch when you got home from school?

I remember there was a channel called 'Trouble' and it would show things like Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Saved by the Bell (again if you have read this blog before you will know these are still my fave shows) Smart Guy, Sister Sister and Boy Meets World. Which I loved. I also remember this thing on CBBC where kids would be picked and do loads of training and then go to some amazing place like Africa or the Jungle to make like schools and stuff. I was talking about this to my friends the other day and they had NO idea what I was talking about. I think it was called Serious and then wherever they were going that episode. Like Serious Amazon. I remember the amazon one the most! But that might not be the name.. If you know what I am talking about, let me know!

ALL PICS FROM GOOGLE.

So this is my take on the 90's tag, an oldie but a goldie! I tag everyone who reads this to do it!

Until next time guys, lots of love,
G x

Body Shop - Born Lippy Lip Balm Review!

Hey guys! So for Christmas I got the cutest Body Shop gift set featuring the Born Lippy Lip Balms. For some reason I always forget that the Body Shop sell cosmetics and not just skin care! Something I will be definitely keeping in mind after these babies entered my world!

How cute is this festive lollipop packaging?! I literally LOVE it. So adorable and I bet it was a massive hit for Christmas. Nice chipped nails Gemma...

You guys gotta agree that this is the cutest right?? So, to the best of my knowledge, there are 5 flavours of the Born Lippy pot balms, which means this set includes all of them!

The flavours/scents are...

Satsuma Shimmer: Now I don't know why I said flavour as none of the balms actually taste like anything. It smells exactly like satumas and it is DIVINE. I want to eat all of these balms they smell so good! This is the only balm that has a slight shimmer through it which is really pretty.

Passionberry: I have literally no idea to describe how passionberry smells! I want to say mango? But that might just be me! This does leave a slight purple tint and I mean the slightest tint! So if you are afraid of dark lip colours, don't worry this won't scare you!

Strawberry: UGH. I can't stop talking about the smell of these balms but the Body Shop really know how to nail the scents. I adore this one and know it will get loads of use especially in the summer! No tint to this. Just a clear gloss look.

Raspberry: Again, smells exactly like raspberries! This is my favourite one out of the 5 and the one I used first. The girls in my work were loving it and pinching it all night! Such a gorgeous and summery smell once again.

Watermelon: Is it strange that I was surprised this colour was watermelon?! I have had many of watermelon lip balms and products before and they were either red or green for some reason. But AGAIN this is exactly the watermelon smell we all know and love. Perffffect.

Wonky neck pic! So this is what Raspberry looks on, just like a sheer gloss! These balms are amazing as you can feel them working away to condition and moisturise your lips the second it is applied. There is also no waxy feeling or taste which is a huge bonus as there is nothing worse than a waxy lip balm!

Usually these lip balms are two pounds for one which is great for a lip balm these days! From the amount I have used since Christmas I can tell they will last for months on end anyway!

These are definitely a 10/10 from me! Have any of you guys used these balms? Or did you receive or pick up the same gift set? Let us know your thoughts!

Until next time, lots of love,
G x

Five Things To Do In 2014 - A Look Back...

Happy new year guys! I cannot believe that it is 2015, how fast did 2014 go in?!
So at the start of 2014, Laura & I done a 'Five things to do in 2014' post and now that 2014 is over with I thought it would be nice to see if I achieved my 5 things! You can check out the original post here!

So these were my 5 things..

1) Be happy and stop worrying. In 2013 I panicked over everything and bet myself down a lot. That year was definitely a year that I drifted and lost people who were very good friends which led to a lot of sadness and sleepless nights. I think in 2014 I have to learn that things like this happen and I can't try and fix everything. Deep thought to start this off right?

1) Definitely achieved. I reailsed that if you want to stay friends with someone you will. And that you can't force people to stay in your life - even if you are desperate for them to. Sounds harsh but I don't mean it in a nasty way, just a truthful way! I have the most amazing best friends and they really are all I need!

2) Keep up with exercising and eating well. In 2013 I dropped from a size 8/10 (which I know is not a big size) to a size 6. This was purely due to the fact I wanted to be healthier. After being a chubby kid in primary dealing with constant bullying about my size it feels good to be a shape I am happy with! I am desperately hoping to keep it up!

2) Slightly achieved! Not so much the eating well! Though I haven't gained a pound since last year that I didn't get rid of again so I guess you can say I achieved this!

3) In slight contradiction with my last point - spend more time with my family and friends. I feel like in 2013 I was always working/doing uni work/exercising and never seen my loved ones as much as I would have liked. This year I have to realise that they won't always be there and make all of my time with them. And have a little me time thrown in as well!

3) Achieved! I legit spend every waking moment with my parents - they are probably so sick of me but they are my best friends. 2014 was also filled with loads of adventures with my bezzies & Sam!

4) Travel more. I have always had the travel bug. Now I think 2015 will be the ultimate travel year as I will have graduated uni and my boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Dubai and Thailand (must make this happen!!!) But I still wanted to make a dent in the world this year.

4) I did go to Rome & few other places in 2014 which was great so I got to tick a few places off the map! I am right about 2015 though.. I currently have Dublin. New York and Thailand booked! Soooooo excited. Hopefully will be heading to Dubai with my mama as well!

5) Complete at least one thing on my bucket list. When I was about 13 I started a bucket list. Odd age to start it I know but I know how short life is and it shouldn't be wasted so I made one. In 2013 I managed to complete a lot of my bucket list but every year I'd like to do at least one thing on it.

5) I did it! I managed to tick so many things off my bucket list and I'm so chuffed that I did! I would say what they things were, but I haven't shown anyone what is on it, I just feel that it is too personal!

6) I know it is five points but I have another one, same as Laura, get a tattoo! I already have three but there is one I have been hoping to get for about a year.

6) Unfortunately I didn't get my tat. I'm not that fussed that I didn't get it because there is no rush to do it. There is always 2015!

So that was my five (six!) things! Did you guys achieved everything you were hoping to in 2014? If not there is always this year! Let us know
