What's in my clutch?

Hi guys, Laura here.

I thought I'd do a little post on what I take in my clutch for a night out!

I'm still obsessed with my Zara stressed clutch and have been using that on my last few nights out, and it goes with everything so I'm defo on to a winner, the only thing is it's currently looking a lil grubby, due to the fact I've been using it a lot recently! Gurls gotta get that cleaned!

First things first. Bank card & id! I always carry both of these, my card incase of an emergency and I gotta lift out some cash, or I wanna party on a bit longer, hehe. My id, which I always, always get asked for when I'm out, because I look about 16. Which is not fun at all, as most of my friends just walk straight in without having to give any! I'm told I'll be thankful for it, when I'm older, but right now, I'm not!

Money! Gotta have cash on ya, I normally take about £40 out with me, and that will include money for a taxi home at the end of the night, which is normally split with my best friend, so £30 to party on. I don't take a purse out with me, which drives my bestie mad - it's just a hassle for me! I have a little pocket in my clutch where money & cards are kept hidden, but easy access for me!

My phone! I tend to become snap happy when I've had a drink, so be prepared for a selfie at all times! And I mean it's always hilarious looking through your phone the next morning to see what you got up to!

Make up! Okay, so gonna be honest here. I'll take a concealer and a lipstick normally, but I rarely ever use them. I'll occasionally top up my lippy, usually if it's red, but that's about it!

Perfume! I'll keep a small bottle of whatever I'm wearing that night, and top it up whenever I go to the loo! Gotta smell nice after all the dancing! I'll normally always have Vera Wang Lovestruck on, purely because I have a rollerball version of it, and that's easier to carry!

Gum! Pretty self explanatory!

And finally, house keys! Don't want to be drunk, standing on the doorstep and having to wake someone up to come let you in! But I've been told even when I have my keys I manage to wake everyone up, because I'm "like a baby elephant coming in." I blame the heels... Not the alcohol! Hehe.

And normally by the end of the night, any jewellery that I was wearing, has now been flung into my bag!

Okay, so there ya have it - what's in my clutch for a night out!

What things do you take out with you & do you have a go to clutch bag for your nights out?!

Until next time,

Books I've been loving!

Hey guys, Laura here.

Lately I feel like I've rekindled my love for reading, and wanted to share with you four books I've been loving!

As Often As Miracles & Home - Clementine Von Radics.

The first two books are by the same author, Clementine Von Radics. Okay, let me just start off by saying how obsessed I am with this girls work, I discovered her poetry on tumblr, and then found myself on her etsy page buying her books! And I have read them about 30 times since they arrived. Her writing is so honest and amazing, I even got my mum reading her stuff, and she loved it too! Check out her work here & buy her books here.

You Get So Alone At Times - Charles Bukowski.

Sticking with the poetry theme here! Just an amazing read, and it includes one of my favourite lines ever.

"It was a beautiful fight.

Still is."

Seriously, so good. I really reccomend checking out his stuff, there is loads to choose from and the guy is a legend. So, yeah.

Looking for Alaska - John Green.

Okay, so if you haven't heard of John Green, where the heck have you been hiding?! This is the man, who broke the hearts of millions with his amazing book The Fault in our Stars, which is now a mahoosive film, which is absolutely amazing! I may or may not have sobbed the whole film... And can I just say how lovely John Green is, I had the pleasure of meeting him and his brother Hank in Glasgow and they were so so nice. All his books are insanely good, so defo check them out! But Looking for Alaska is my favourite by him.

White Girl Problems - Babe Walker.

Aww Babe Walker. The writing in this book is just sheer genius. The book is written by the same person who writes under the twitter handle @whitegrlproblem, so you know straight away her book is going to be hilarious. I actually laughed out loud at a good few bits in this! Such an easy read, and I'm so looking forward to reading her new book 'Psychos'. You can check her out on twitter or on her website here.

What books have you been loving lately?

Until next time,

Lotsa Love,

JuJu Love!

Hey guys, Gemma here. If there is something I have been seriously loving right now, its my JuJus!

If I am being totally honest, when I first got them I kinda felt like a 5 year old and totally thought people were going to judge me but I am so glad I didn't care.

I got the plain glitter ones and honestly, they go with every outfit I put on. I can wear these for hours on end and they are still a dream to wear. They are so so comfy. The only thing I have to say is that they do get uber sweaty if you are wearing them for ages/doing loads of stuff in them but no one can see that any way! Personally I just think it is a little gross but that is just my own feet!

The trick to JuJus is ensuring that when you purchase a pair, there is at least a tiny bit of room in them. This is due to the fact your feet expand in the heat and they will contract with the rubber. This is what I was told anyway and so far this is definitely true for me. Sometimes I have a teeny space at the front and other times its gone. But obviously it isn't much!

I so recommend these shoes and I think they will be perfect on holiday when I have loads of walking to do! I can't wait to wear them with a wee sun dress!

I think you either love or hate JuJus but if you have been considering purchasing a pair I completely recommend them! I got mines from Office for £24 but really you can get them any where!

Do you have JuJus or Jelly shoes? What are your thoughts on them?

Until next time lovelies,

I Heart Summer Tag!

Hey guys. another tag from Gemz again! I just can't help myself. I thought I would give the I Heart Summer Tag that was floating around YouTube last summer.

1. Favorite bronzer for summer?
Without a doubt it has to be my beloved Nars Laguna bronzer. It will always be Laguna at all times of the year!

2. You're relaxing in a hammock, on a tropical island. What are you sipping on? (Favorite summer drink)
I don't even know if this really counts as it is definitely not a tropical island drink, but my favourite thing to drink in the sun has to be Fanta Orange and I know most people would say the lemon Fanta in the sun but I am orange all the way.

3. Favorite summer lip product?
I don't think I have a particular fave lip product for summer, basically just something that keeps them hydrated. So probably an EOS balm or plain old Vaseline!

4. Pool or Beach?
I am a pool girl through and through! I am not a big fan of the beach, finding sand for days!

5. Summer = crazy hair! What's your must-have styling product?
I actually don't have any problems with my hair in the summer which is lucky as my mum and sister have hair like Monica from friends the second they walk into any sort of heat! But in the summer I always use Fudge Urban's Sea Salt spray just for that beach hair look. It is only around £7 from Superdrug and smells amaaaazing.

6. Sun bathing or fake tan?
Sun bathing for definite! I haven't used fake tan since October 2011.

7. Favorite summer nail polish?
It has to be greenberry by Barry M, this is one of the Gelly Hi Shine which I love. Such a
gorgeous colour for summer!

8. Any summer traditions?
I don't think it counts as a tradition but every year in summer, at least once, all my family will gather round at my house, we will have a BBQ, play badminton and have water balloon fights, all whilst having a cheeky beverage.

9. Favorite summer scent?
This summer scent has 100% been my bath & body works candle in 'Pomelo Grapefruit'. This is so fruity and makes the whole house smell amazing even from my room upstairs.

10. Favorite BBQ food?
Ribs. No doubt. Mmmmmm ribs!

11. What's your favorite summer-proof product?
It has to be Aloe Vera. It is so simple but I couldn't pick anything else. It is amazing for sun burn and if you apply it daily, it helps with the up keep of your tan making it last longer! Also, if you put it in the fridge and then apply it to sunburn - absolute heaven!

12. Any summer vacation plans this year? No plans? Tell us about your dream summer trip!
It is Rome! Which you guys will definitely know about by now!

So that is my take on the I Heart Summer Tag! I don't think my answers where that in depth so sorry for that guys! Let us know if you have done this tag, if not we tag you!

Until next time,

Travel Make Up Bag!

Hey Guys, Gemma here. If there is something I struggle with when I go on a trip, it is what to take makeup wise. I feel like I need everything in my collection so I don't run out of options but obviously this is not the case! I assume this might be a problem a few of us beauty loving people may suffer from so in that case, I thought I'd share what I have decided to take.

Realistically, my brushes is the only thing I couldn't cut down on. Each of these will be used! So I'll be taking my Real Techniques Blush Brush that I use for contouring. My ELF stippling brush for foundation and then just a bunch of eye shadow brushes including ELF, MAC and Elizabeth Arden. I only take this amount of brushes for eye shadow so I can do loads of different looks.

I have to say just now that I will probably only use make up for going out in the evenings. With me I will be taking my Bourjois foundation that I will mix with my moisturiser so I am not wearing that much. I will also be taking my Bobbi Brown corrector and concealer, along with my collection concealer. My Nars Laguna Bronzer and two Stila Convertible Colors as I prefer using cream blushes in the heat. Then my MAC mineralize skinfinish just to set eveything. Finally I am taking a Smashbox eye primer.

Picking out lippies to take was definetely a struggle! But I finally narrowed it down to three with I think will go with anything. MAC's 'Hue' and 'MAC Red'. Then a Rimmel Kate lipstick in the shade 20. These are the perfect, nude, red and hot pink lipsticks.

I still haven't actually decided on what eye shadow palette to take! I am between either naked palettes or my TooFaced natural palette. I prefer my TooFaced on as I hate the fallout from the Naked palettes and the quality of the shadows are amazing but the Naked palettes have more choice in terms of darker colours if I wanted to do a smokey look. Sorry I had to steal these pics from an old post!

So that is what I take with me make up wise! What do you take on holiday with me? Let us know!

Until next time,

Long time no chat!

Hey guys!
Laura here - just a quick post to apologise for lack of posts from me lately!
Writers block has been the main reason for this.
hoping to get some posts written up this weekend for you all.
Thanks again to Gem for holding the fort. And have a fab time in Rome!

Until next time,

My Carry On Bag!

Hey guys! Gemma here, so it is now only 3 days until I head to Rome! I feel like I've been talking about it on here for 10 years! I am so excited. So I thought I would share with you guys what I am taking in my carry on bag.

So the bag I am using for my carry on is this gorgeous Michael Kors Hamilton bag. I am using this one as it is big enough to fit everything I need in it but small enough to actually fit into the over head compartment or under the seat in front (because lets face it, nothing is more annoying than waiting on people trying to shove their massive bags into the over head compartments). It is also light enough to be able to carry it around all day!

So this is everything I take in my carry on bag! I do like to keep it simple so I am not having to root through the kitchen sink when I need something. So with me I take, all my travel documents, things like boarding passes and insurance, my passport (these two are a given right?). Also I take my iPod so there isn't a moment of boredom on the plane, two books once again for the boredom issue. One for the way and one for the back. Just your usual chick flick books that were on offer for 2 books for £7 in Tesco. My purse - filled with euros and pounds, mainly for the splurges in duty free. Then my RayBan Aviator sunnies that are my fave ever. An EOS balm because everyone knows how dry your lips get up in the air! Then lastly a pack of chewing gum, gotta keep refreshed on those flights!

That is it! That is all I take in my carry on. With that being said, I probably will buy a trashy gossip magazine too! But who can help themselves when it comes to them in the airport?

Let me know what you guys take in your carry on bags and if you are off anywhere this year!

Until next time,

The British Tag

Hey, Gemma here! So last week the gorgeous Sammi (BeautyCrush), created the 'The British Tag', you can check out her video here! So obviously as it was a tag, I had to do it! Here goes!

1. How many cups of tea do you have a day? + How many sugars?

It really depends. I will go through phases were I have like three a day. When I used to do uni coursework, I am not even kidding, I would have like 6 a day! But normally I will only have like one every two weeks or something. I have the typical two sugars!

2. Favourite part of your roast?
Gotta be the Yorkshire Puds! Without a doubt. I could have a plate just of them for dinner and be the happiest wee gal!

3. Favourite dunking biscuit?
The good old Rich Tea biccy. Again this is without a doubt. When they go all soft. UGHHHHHHH.  When Sam has tea and I don't I will still have a cheeky wee tea biccy to dunk in his. Much to his annoyance.

4. Favourite quintessentially British pastime?
I don't think I really have one? Maybe riding a donkey at Blackpool Beach? That is a well known one right?

5. Favourite word?
Ghastly! I always have a fave word and this is my fave british word. Just say it in a posh English accent. I bet you will laugh! Ohhhhh how Ghastly!

6. Cockney rhyme slang?
I don't think I have a fave for this, being a born and bred Scotland bird I have never actually heard anyone use it seriously.

7. Favourite sweet?
Now I know Sammi said this and I promise I ain't coping but it has got to be white choc Jazzies. They are all I get if I get a pick and mix!

8. What would your pub be called?
The Beef Stew Pie.

9. No.1 British person?
Ok technically they are two people but they might as well be one! It has to be our lovable lads, Ant and Dec! If you don't love them I refuse to believe that you are human. I have grew up watching these two and I have so so so much love for them. Their closeness is so heartwarming and everything the host is sheer brilliance.

10. Favourite shop / restaurant?
I struggle with this one. For years and years, since I've been like 13, my go to answer would always be Topshop and I wouldn't even need to think about it. People wouldn't need to ask me were my clothes were from because it would be already assumed it was a Topshop number. Don't get me wrong I still LOVE the store but somethings recently have been too 'out there' for me. So I will still say Topshop but also River Island and Zara. I can usually always find something in one of the three stores. I don't know if I have a favourite british restaurant! Nandos?

11. What british song pops into your head?
I don't know if it counts but when I read this, the first song that actually popped into my head was Wannabe by the Spice Girls. No idea why!

12. Marmite?
NO. A bit fat stinky No. Yuck!

So that was my take on Sammi's tag! It was loads of fun to do.
Do you have any of the same answers as me?

Until next time my beauties!

June Faves!

Hey Guys, Gemma here! Apologies for being so M.I.A here, trying to work 6 days a week whilst having an internship and trying to fit in social life unfortunately interrupted my blogging plans! I am back though and I have to say that I cannot believe we are in July! Holiday month for me. YAYYYYY. So here are some of the stuff that I was loving in June.

So I don't really change up my beauty products a lot because if I find something that works well for me, I don't see the point in wasting time and money looking for the same thing. This is really why I don't tend to do monthly faves as I always use the same stuff. With a few exceptions in June!

At the start of June, I ran out of my usual Nearly Naked foundation and not one store in my local town centre had my shade. That was two Boots stores and a Superdrug. As I had a night out that night, I went into full scale panic mode. I seen that the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation was on some sort of promotion at the time. So due to being desperate and as I had always heard great things about it on other blogs and on YouTube, I picked it up. I am so in love with this foundation. My shade - 'Light Vanilla' is perfect for me, one of the best matches I have found. It is not a full coverage foundation and when first applied it is definitely light whilst still giving good coverage. Making it perfect for summer as it doesn't cake your skin. Sometimes when my skin is really bad I do like a full coverage but this is totally buildable and always looks great.

Believe it or not this is my first ever MAC pigment. I used to have loads of the Barry M pigments that were out years ago but after one spilled all over my cream carpet, filling my mum with sheer rage, I gave up on them out of fear. That is until I seen this baby. When I first seen pics of what was going to be in the collection, I knew I had to get my hands on this. I just love bold eye colours these days and I don't know why. I used to be such a solid brown girl! When I was finally able to wear this I was so in love. It is such a bright colour and when paired with brown it is simply stunning. Pigments are a little messy but I feel like I get more fall out with my naked palettes than  I did with this which is saying something! This is definitely going to be my go to summer eye colour.

This little beauty was actually my first 'Back to MAC' freebie! If you are not aware of back to MAC it is basically a recycling program offered by MAC in which if you have 6 empty cases and take them into your local store, they will give you a free lipstick of your choice. I had had my 6 cases for a while but as my closest store isn't actually that close, I kept forgetting about them. Until June! Normally when I make a high-end or MAC quailty purchase, I do all my research on the product so it isn't a waste but when I done my 'Back to MAC', I wasn't intending to so didn't have time to do my usual searching. I basically just swatched loads of ones I don't have and left with this bad boy. I had never even heard of Lickable before which is surprising. It is a cremesheen finish and is a true pink colour which is bold enough to make an impact but subtle enough to wear everyday. I really think this would suit all skin tones. I have been wearing it nearly every day since I got it. (not with the blue eyeshadow I should add!).

So basically that is all the beauty related stuff I had been loving in June, not a lot I know! But again I keep all my stuff the same.

The first thing I have to talk about is ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK. I am obsessed with this show. I only started watching it about two weeks ago and I am in the middle of season two. I have been watching it on my phone on my breaks and work and everything. I can not get enough of it. My faves have got to be Morello, Taystee and Poussey. I wish they were my friends. If you haven't started this yet, I really really recommend it. I do warn you, all other areas of life like sleeping and washing will take a back seat to this show... THE ANIMAL THE ANIMAL!!

I went to see this when it was out in the cinema a few months back and then at the start of June I got it for my dad for father's day and I have watched it like every night when I got home from work. IT IS AMAZING. It is like one of my favourite films ever now. It is about 4 friends who have been best friends their whole lives and I don't want to give anything away but they end up in Las Vegas for a celebration and if you watch it or have seen it, you will probs agree with me that you wanna be at the party they throw!? I just love the story. It stars 4 absolute legends and the fact that they are having fun and not taking themselves seriously just makes it all better. Also, I fancy Robert De Niro, who is older than my grandpa. Weird right? 10/10

Ugh. This book. This film. Ugh. I am ruined. I have never cried in a cinema like that in my life. I was full scale sobbing, loudly. But I ain't even ashamed! I definetely recommend you read the book before seeing the film as it just adds to it. I am not going to say one thing about the storyline (even though I am sure everyone will probably know the jist) but it is just so so precious I don't want to ruin it for anyone. I HAVE to go see it again asap. Also, I dare you not to fancy Ansel Elgort after you see him as Augustus Waters, I dare you!

So that was that guys, all the things I loved in June! Not a lot but I thought I would share them with you all!

What did you guys love in June? Let us know!
