Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015.

*picture from Tumblr

I don't know about you but 2014 was one of the best years of my life.
I tried so many new things this year, made so many new friends who I now class as some of my best, I turned 21 and celebrated with my friends and family and so many more fun memories.
I am so so excited for everything 2015 will bring.

Last year, I done a post listing things I'd like to do and the only thing I didn't manage to do was get another tattoo... But it's the 29th of December as I write this and I'm swaying with the idea to see if I can get an appointment tomorrow and go get one... We shall see. I did do a few midnight drives, but not many pictures were taken, a lot of songs sung though. Hehe.

This year, I definitely was more spontaneous, which is how I ended up with a new group of friends by saying yes to going out and having fun. I worried less, well... less than last year! I also seen a lot of gigs as well, I was lucky enough to see The Maine on my 21st Birthday with my two best friends. Then headed to the pub where I was greeted with birthday hugs and Sambuca!! And then had a house party which was so much fun & I am so grateful for the love I received on my birthday. I also got to see The 1975, Hozier, Miley Cyrus and Modern Baseball to name a few!

I felt a lot more confident in myself this year and I know it's 100% down to the company I am in. It's so great to know you have friends who will always tell you their true opinion. I'm such a lucky girl.

A wee collage of photos from throughout the year. Best times with the best people.
I'm so buzzing for 2015, and celebrating the New Year with my favourites.

Hope you all have an amazing time celebrating this year & you hope you all kiss someone cute at midnight!

Soundtrack to my life!

One of my favourite bloggers without a doubt is Lily Melrose, and her music taste is quite similar to mine, so when I watched her newest YouTube video with Zoe London, the Soundtrack To My Life tag, I knew I had to do the tag myself!

Music is my absolute favourite thing in the whole world and I know I've just done a post that was a different music tag, sorry!!

If you like me are a music lovaaaa, please do this too!!

1. Song you listen to when you're happy?
Ehh, right now it's Jackie and Wilson by Hozier. It's so catchy and you can't help but sing and dance along to it!

2. Song you listen to when you're sad?
All Too Well by Taylor Swift is my winner for that!

3. What song will you have at your wedding?
Cinderella by Steve Curtis Chapman is the song I want to dance to with my Dad.

4. What song do you dance around the house to?
In my house, spontaneous dance parties are a normal thing, so anything from Aretha Franklin Say A Little Prayer to Shania Twain That Don't Impress Me Much!

5. Song you play on your headphones when out and about?
Won't Go Home Without You by Maroon 5.

6. Song you listen to when you're angry?
Seventy Times 7 by Brand New, nothing better than angry singing along with this song!!

7. Song you'd have at your funeral?
Oh jeez. Ehhh.... Songbird by Fleetwood Mac.

8. Song that makes you lose your shit at a party?
I Bet That You Look On The Dancefloor by The Arctic Monkeys. An oldie, but a goodie!

9. The last song you listened to?
Believe it or not it was La Vie En Rose by Edith Piaf hahah!

10. Your karaoke song?
I've only done karaoke once and my song was Man I Feel Like A Woman by Shania Twain, I was awful but had the best time so I didn't even care!

11. What song do you work out/exercise to?
Anything with a good beat!

12. Song with the most memories attached?
Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler.

13. Song that makes you cry?
Same as above.

14. Song you hate the most?
Stay Another Day by East 17. Ugh. That song drives me mental!!!

15. Your favourite song of all time?
Take Me Dancing by The Maine. This song makes everything better. I even have the lyrics written out by John O'Callaghan from The Maine and it's one of the best things I own.

Make sure you do this tag if you love music too!
It really gets you thinking!!

O-T-K Boots!

Hey guys! So a massive trend this A/W seems to be Over The Knee boots. & I have to admit that I too obsessed with them! You would think that being 5ft 1 I would be put off over the knee boots but nope! I need them all!

I love seeing these boots on celebs and seeing how they style them. Here are a few of my faves..

pics from google

You HAVE to love Jenner/Kardashian/Cyrus look! I feel like all three of these woman have completely different styles and it just shows that whatever your style is, there is a way for you to rock over the knee boots!

Here are a few faves I have found online/in the high street stores..

Public Desire

When it comes to boots I am definetely more of a suede gal. However all the boots that I am posting from public desire also come in faux leather if that is more your style! These beauts are called Geneva and come in at £34.99! I have actually ordered these for myself.

Again these ones come in faux leather! These boots are called Karys and they are super affordable at £32.99!

I am not the biggest fan of chunky heels on boots but I know loads of other people love them so I had to include these. From TopShop, these are the most expensive ones on the list at £135 but for over the knee boots, they still aren't a bad price. These particular boots are called Carbon Knee High Boots.

I love this boot! I think it might be my fave from the whole list, however with Christmas coming up I just don't have the disposable fund. Good thing the public desire ones are basically a dupe for these! (In my eyes anyway). These ones are £120 and are called Neve.

For my last O-T-K boot I thought I would include a pair without heels as I know the heeled versions aren't for everyone. This way you are still able to achieve the over the knee look but still be comfortable if you aren't used to wearing heels daily! This pair come in at £110 and are called Nova.

So those are my fave O-T-K boots from online and the high street!
How do you guys feel about these boots and O-T-K boots? Are you loving this trend?

MAC Cosmetics Objections of Affections Pigments - Silver and Blue!

Hey guys! So another Objections of Affections pigment review, but this time we are going for the silver and blue set. So lets get right into it!

As I spoke about it in my last post I am not really going to chat much about the packaging. The four pigments and glitter come in this cute little glitter box with a silhouette on it. Very pretty! The silver and blue one comes with a white lid which I was surprised as due to the colours being the darkest available but I love the white.

This kit is just the prefect smokey eye pigment set. It can be tricky doing a dark smokey eye with pigments as they can be quite messy but if you power through and stay patience (which I struggle with!) you will end up with the most beautiful and highly pigmented eye. The website names these colours (from L-R) as White, Blue Noir, Deep Blue Green, Grey (Glitter) and Dark Soul.

All I done for these swatches was use my pinky and look how amazingly they smoke out. Obviously the glitter would look better with a base/glitter glue - or what I do is put lipgloss of my eye and then make it stick to the lipgloss! Again I think this will be the most perfect dark smokey eye. Especially at times like New Year when smokey eyes are all in!

As I said in my last post these perfect little sets are only £26 which I think is an absolute steal! Such a good deal for four mini pigments and glitter!

These sets are available from MAC store, MAC online and then department stores such as Debenhams and House of Fraser. I would definitely recommend snapping these up. At £26 I think they will sell out fast!

Do you guys love these sets as much as I do?

MAC Cosmetics Objects of Affections Pigments - Pink & Rose!

Hey guys! I just love when MAC go live with their holiday collections as you are always able to find amazing deals!
The first thing that got my eye from all the holiday collections this year was the little mini pigment sets. These include 4 mini pigments and 1 mini glitter. All this for £26, I repeat TWENTY SIX POUNDS. When normally one full sized pigment is £17. This is such a good offer for money as even though they aren't full sized, the chances of running out of a MAC pigment is slim!
Ok enough rambling, lets show you the set!

Ok, so, the set comes in this lovely glitter effect box with a silhouette on top. Really lovely as far as boxes go and I think it would be great just  to keep some stuff in. The pink and rose set comes with a grey/black lid.

In my opinion, the colours in this set are just stunning and will be gorgeous on all skin tones. Using this for a smokey eye in the winter will be something else and I am so excited to use them. The MAC site lists the colours (from L-R) as Whisper Pink, Tan, Rose, Reigning Riches (the glitter) and then Heritage Rouge.

As it is starting to get dark at like 2pm here in Scotland I found it really difficult to get a good pic/swatch for you guys as the lighting is always off! Hopefully you can see just how stunning these pigments are. & for that price can you really go wrong? I think the 2nd is the most beautiful and think it will be amazing either all over the lid and blended itself or with all the others. & the first one will  be a gorgeous highlight! As you can probably tell, I am very excited by these pigments!

Do any of you guys have these sets? UGH I should have got them all! WHY!! Still time though right guys? Let us know if you have picked up one of the MAC holiday sets and how you are getting on with them?

Until next time guys!

The Christmas Tag!

Just like Slade, I really do wish it was Christmas everyday.
It is without doubt my favourite time of the year!
I love all the Christmas lights, the copious amounts of Christmas songs on the radio and of course ELF!!!

Whilst writing my last post, another tag (sorry!) I decided I wanted to do a Christmas tag!
I found this one on Fee's blog. You can check out her post doing the Christmas tag here.

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
Elf, Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street and It's A Wonderful Life.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
I've always been allowed to open one, when we get home from Midnight Mass at church, but "Santa" hasn't been then, so it's normally a present from my gran or a friend! All the other presents get opened once I've been to bed and slept for a few hours! I'm usually too excited to sleep for an extended period once we are home from church.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Just spending time with my family.

4. Favourite festive food?
Roast potatoes made by my Gran. I'm such a fussy eater, so end up having Chicken Nuggets as my meal at Christmas, so the only thing I eat of the Christmas table is the potatoes!

5. Favourite Christmas gift?
A little fawn, ornament that opens up from my Gran. It has a gold love heart chain round its neck which is engraved with my name, and when you open it, it plays you are my sunshine. I burst into tears when I opened it. I love it so so much. I couldn't even thank her over the phone because I was crying so hard. Haha.

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Christmas Cookie by Yankee Candle.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
My family have a Christmas Eve tradition, where we go to my aunt's house on Christmas Eve, where we have Chinese food, before heading to Church. It's my favourite part of Christmas.

8. What tops your tree?
We always have our wee angel at the top of our tree!

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
Probably... A puppy or something along those lines!

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?
Having my family altogether in the one place, where everyone is happy! :-)

What is your favourite things about Christmas!
Do this tag and let us know!
